Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under very general direction, provides written and verbal decision quality research, analysis, reporting and recommendations in response to requests for review and comment on issues directly or indirectly related to logistics.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES :

CACI has an immediate opening for a Ship Logistics Analyst, in our Guam location who will be responsible for the planning and execution of Ship Availability support projects onsite at Industrial Facilities and support MSC Ships in this overhauls and repairs.

This individual will be tasked with supporting an MSC Type Desk and an assigned MSC Port Engineer in tracking, confirming and updating logistics support documentation for new ship equipment installations and modifications. RESPONSIBILITIES will include utilizing, implementing and reviewing ship life cycle logistics and configuration management databases/systems and their respective data elements. Duties will also include comparing, contrasting, revising data, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of logistics support documentation contained within and transferred between databases and systems. Examples of relevant databases/systems are CMIS/CLIP, SHIPCLIP, MASP, SMIS Supply Management Version 5, SNAP II SFM, MicroSNAP, R-Supply, NAVICP Weapon Systems File, CDMD-OA, SCLSIS, Real-time Outfitting Management Information System (ROMIS), MERLIN, Inter-Active Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS), Ships Provisioning System, FLIS, FEDLOG, IHS Haystack, Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and SUADPS.

Tasks with require identifying, analyzing, auditing, and developing requirements for the acquisition of logistics information in support of planned maintenance, industrial assistance, equipment alterations, and removals. Reviewing, interpreting, and auditing acquisition documentation, technical specifications, technical manuals, vendor supplies data, vendor purchase orders, shipboard feedback, and other available technical.

The position will require auditing, updating, analyzing, and determining shipboard inventory management postures utilizing various automated systems such as SMIS-SM VERSION 5, SNAP II SFM, Micro-SNAP, R-Supply, Integrated Barcode System (IBS), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and/or SUADPS; ship storeroom inventory, storeroom mock-up, layout, storeroom on-loads, and offloads. Extensive material research and identification, material handling, inventory management, warehousing, packaging, and material distribution. Technical research will be required using data systems such as AMULS, ADULS, FEDLOG, HEDRS, HAYSTACK,. ShipCLIP and LogiQUEST.

Required Qualifications :

— Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and two years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, requires a High School Diploma or GED, and at least 4 years (8 years is preferred) of related experience in the following areas:

— Experience providing ship acquisition or fleet sustainment logistics support services to MSC, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, or commercial ship operating companies; and Afloat supply financial and inventory management.

— Experience conducting shipboard equipment validations and ILS Support/shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups, layout, and supporting material on-loads and off-loads.

— Experience providing identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources

— Experience in material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions.

— Experience with material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using both commercial sources and the DTS for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.

— Experience in identifying, analyzing, auditing, and developing requirements for the acquisition of logistics information in support of planned maintenance, industrial assistance, equipment alterations, and removals.

— Experience in reviewing, interpreting, and auditing acquisition documentation, specifications, technical manuals, vendor supplies data, vendor purchase orders, shipboard feedback, and other available technical information.

— Experience in conducting ashore inventories; performing causative research for inventory gains or losses; and auditing, updating, analyzing, and determining shipboard inventory management posture.

— Must have an active SECRET Clearance

Desired Qualifications :

— 8 years of experience providing ship acquisition or fleet sustainment logistics support services to MSC, the MSC, U.S. Navy, Coast Guard or commercial ship operating companies, to include all logistic facets of logistics support requirements is preferred.

— 3 years of experience executing ship acquisition and fleet sustainment support services utilizing any of the following systems: MSC/Navy/ Coast Guard/Commercial databases/systems such as CLIP/CMLS, ShipCLIP, WinMASP, NTCSS, CDMD-OA, SCLSIS, MERLIN, ICAPS or IHS Haystack.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
