A key aspect of CMI’s mission is to provide market and industry insights to enable DCG’s top management to make more informed decisions about current and future market opportunities and threats.
Key activities will include:
Support Industry and market analysis: development and execution of market research / sensing studies, including DCG’s ATHENA and Pulse market sensing programs.
Drive development of monthly Market Insights monthly analysis and communication vehicles, including newsletter for DCG Staff Define and contribute to the DCG “Market Watch and Industry Trend” program.
Work with CTO office to align quarterly technology and market trend views into coherent quarterly deliverable.
Communicate market insights to senior management in a crisp & compelling way, based on the audience, and supporting dissemination of insights across DCG once the work is complete.
Engaging with DCGs leadership, business units, and geo teams to ensure market insights result in action and forward progress for the company.
Strong IT industry knowledge coupled with excellent market research and analysis skills: primary and secondary research and statistical methods capability, market research study formulation and construction, ability to comprehend, distill and present data output.
Business and strategy acumen: Strong data and financial skills, capable of supporting segment market models, distilling competitive business models and the development of scenario and competitive war gaming models. The ability to lead business analysis in collaboration with BU finance teams.
Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Ability to recognize and analyze emerging opportunities, assess future market dynamics and define associated impacts. The ability to frame ambiguous business opportunities, create structured business recommendations, iterate based on senior stakeholder input, and effectively communicate to the leadership team.
7+ years’ experience, preferably as an Industry Analyst, management consultant, or as an analyst in corporate strategy, product planning, product strategy or business planning.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership on complex business topics.
Deep understanding of the technology industry, preferably including experience in at least one of: High Performance/Technical Computing, Enterprise Computing, Storage, Internet/cloud services, IoT, Big Data / Predictive Analytics.
Key functional requirements for the job resemble those of an Associate at top-tier consulting firms.
Over time, you will have the opportunity to run projects, scope and plan the projects, and orchestrate work streams across the team.
You will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the entire portfolio of DCG and pan-Intel businesses in order to support and analyze strategic decisions spanning multiple divisions and provide the appropriate level of impact.
C apabilities Profile:
Success in this position requires a resourceful, fact-based strategic thinker with very strong analytical and business skills and a passion for technology businesses.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills critical the ability to drive diagnostic rigor in analysis and the capacity to influence others.
You must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization x-DCG and x-Intel.
7+ years’ experience in corporate strategy or related field.
Excellent written and verbal skills, cross-group collaboration and communication capabilities.
Candidates should also have a solid grasp of the Intel relevant business segments and cross-Intel alignment.
Track record of exceptional performance from a top-tier management consulting or Industry Analyst firm or the corporate strategy or corporate development group of a Fortune 500 company.
Experience engaging with executive-level audiences.
MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
The role provides significant executive visibility and thus requires commensurate communication skills.
The Central Market Intelligence organization is looking for a Market Analyst to be a member of the team responsible for analyzing end user, market and technology dynamics, datacenter trends. This role will engage internal, external and newly created market sensing sources to synthesize the most relevant market trends for DCG and highlight those trends via a range of communication vehicles. Initial focus for this assignment will be to help shape DCG’s market sensing infrastructure to do more thorough analysis, and in partnership with the Chief Analyst, define related recommendations and to drive and communicate cross-DCG insights.
