Intelligence Analyst Jobs
The intelligence analyst will assist the federal law enforcement / intelligence community to proactively identify persons of interest who may have links to terrorism. Provide tactical and strategic analysis of terrorism data to develop and enrich support to field agents and senior government officials within the law enforcement/intelligence community. Follow government production processes to research and write all-source analytic products. Provide weekly and monthly project statistics for review by senior leadership. Develop investigative leads for Federal Law Enforcement agencies by conducting in depth research and analysis through the use of both classified and unclassified databases. Perform data collection and exploitation with web-based research by sorting and collating relevant data concerning subjects of government interest. Review financial information to identify possible terrorist financing. Categorize subjects based on derogatory information, association to terrorism and threat assessments acquired through extensive query and vetting. Liaise with other law enforcement and intelligence entities to collaborate on intelligence products.
Required Skills and Education:
Bachelors plus seven years experience
(a) Prepares parts of more complex studies or reports which include all aspects related to their specifically-defined geographic or functional areas;
(b) Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of their findings;
(c) Applies and modified (if necessary) established intelligence practices to specific problems which involve many variables;
(d) Prepares basic-descriptive and current-reportorial intelligence reports, collection manuals, and instructions to field collectors in their assigned area of responsibility;
(e) Evaluates incoming reports and information;
(f) Provides specialized intelligence and threat analysis and production support;
(g) Accesses and performs research on designated automated intelligence databases for the purpose of identifying information of interest to the customer, downloading the identified information to an appropriate medium, and editing the information into format(s) to be specified by the customer;
(h) Provides intelligence and threat analysis of the information that is tailored to the customer’s requirements;
(i) Develops information and technical support documents, summaries, reports, presentations and other designated products in support of the customer’s information and technical support requirements; and
(j) Presents briefings to personnel designated by the customer.
Preferred Skills and Education:
Software applications (Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).
Public source databases (ie Accurint, Lexis Nexis).
Analytical tools (Analyst Notebook, Palantir, etc).
Background in counterintelligence/counterterrorism and/or law enforcement is beneficial.
Experience with law enforcement and intelligence systems.
