Insitu leads in the design, development and production of small autonomous aircraft for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), including advanced integrated command, control, and video tools for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). We currently produce and sell an ever growing fleet of Unmanned Aircraft Systems that are low-cost, long-endurance, and have low personnel requirements. These UASs provide a no-runway launch, unprecedented stabilized day and night video for ISR, robotic flight control, and a no-nets capture.

Overview:
This postion is a part of a small group supporting the financial planning and analysis needs of the functional areas within Insitu; Engineering & Commercial, Production & Materials, Field Operations & Logistics Support.

Job Family Handbook Description:
Performs financial research, forecasting, planning, analysis and reporting activities for an established program or function. Determines and reviews customer requirements and translates requirements into organizational plans. Monitors business performance, develops metrics and investigates variances. Develops and maintains operational specifications for financial information systems. Conducts studies pertaining to balance sheet and profit and loss; performs analyses and prepares financial and status reports. Performs rate forecasting and prepares information for audits.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as the first level point of contact and support for the assigned functional area.

Responsible for routine day-to-day finance support needs of the assigned functional organizations. Escalate issues and questions to the Finance Manager as needed.

Assits with Capital and Investment planning

Assist with establishing and managing annual Pool and Department Operating Plans.

Assist with the development of Overhead rates.

Create Performance Reports, including; Monthly OH Rate variance analysis, Monthly Budget/Actual/Variance reports by Department, Fixed Assets, Capital spending plans, depreciation expense, Staffing forecasts, including planed attrition, hiring plans, open job requisitions.

Ensure data accuracy and compliance with all Policies and Procedures.

Review and approve Purchase Requisitions, Work Authorizations, Job Requisitions, P-card transactions, Temp Labor requests, Capital approvals, etc.

Assist with providing advice, guidance and training on Finance, Cost Policy, accounting treatments, policies and procedures.

There may be additional duties specific to the functional area being served.

Knowledge – Skills & Abilities Required:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Basic understanding or exposure to finance principles and budget planning. It would be nice to have some exposure to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Strong analytical skills, good listening, verbal and written skills.

Positive, service oriented attitude.

MS Office. Proficiency in MS Excel, prefer Power Pivot experience.

Experience & Education :
6-9 years related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Technical field.
