Job Summary:

The Data Analyst candidate must have proficiency in using Tableau software.
The Data Analyst is responsible for performing marketing analytics work at Living Spaces. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly grasp the marketing initiatives at Living Spaces, work with the associated campaign data and marketing technologies, and quickly deliver insights using Tableau software, Power BI (Microsoft), Qlik or Looker.
This position will report to the VP of Marketing and Ecommerce and is based at the corporate office in La Mirada, CA.

  • Collaborate with marketing team and other stakeholders across Living Spaces, with an understanding of the diverse needs of each stakeholder
  • Perform as an “analytics translator” to tell a story about the data to key stakeholders
  • Create Tableau visualization that provide insights across a wide variety of marketing initiatives, while applying best practices in data visualization and data manipulation
  • Gather, prepare, and maintain data to support analytics from a variety of data source types including SQL server databases, flat files, external sources, etc. as necessary using Alteryx designer software
  • Participate in working sessions, design sessions, and project/team meetings as needed


  • Demonstrated passion for marketing analytics and the ability to communicate its value as a strategic business advantage
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Outstanding communication skills (both in presentation and comprehension) along with the aptitude for thought leadership in analytics
  • Expert-level proficiency with Tableau desktop designer and server
  • Strong attention to detail with respect to data cleanliness and data accuracy
  • Tableau Certifications preferred
  • Experienced technical understanding of data with a business intelligence background
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Exceptional customer facing skills
  • BS Degree in Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline

Preferred experience also includes

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence patterns (standard data modeling approaches, approaches to data presentation and consumption)
  • Understanding of AGILE project approaches and methodologies
  • Consulting experience; experience estimating level of effort for analytics and data work, creating proposals, and managing workload
  • Prior retail and marketing experience
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
