The LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization (LDMO) Reporting Lead will facilitate reporting on student data that resides in Campus Solutions (LionPATH) and Penn State’s iTwo, a business intelligence platform. The role will be responsible for coordinating LionPATH team efforts and working with users who need to use data and provide information in support of the broad operational and analytic needs of the institution. This position will report to the LDMO Director. The LionPATH Reporting Lead will manage a team that supports: the coordinating reporting support for LionPATH through a variety of platforms and vehicles including iTwo content, PS queries, and interfaces; the coordinating efforts to promote an understanding of the data through training and documentation; the tracking and managing the use of operational queries; collecting new reporting requirements and working with functional team to deliver through an appropriate vehicle; the coordination of development and testing of iTwo dashboards and documentation of content; responding to user data and query requests; support for reporting issues; gathering reporting requirements; performing data and gap analyses pertaining to student data reporting; and defining security requirements for LionPATH data and fields available for LionPATH data available through iTwo. The Reporting Lead will manage LDMO reporting team, a small group that will work with the LionPATH functional and technical analysts to identify how best to serve reporting needs and to ensure that the data provided is accurate. The team is responsible for the data and presentation standards used for creating reports and reporting data. They will drive the mechanisms for delivery and provide guidance on an appropriate approach to data training and documentation. The individual must have experience with SQL and relational databases, and experience in reporting in higher education. The ability to coordinate and collaborate across various groups with differing types and levels of reporting needs is required. The selected candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong analyzing/diagnosing abilities, the ability to deal with complex concepts and details. Demonstrated leadership in a prior position is strongly preferred. This individual should have the ability to establish credibility at all levels within the organization and build problem-solving partnerships with the multiple clients and colleagues is important. Demonstrated proficiency in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and knowledge of OBIEE or other business intelligence tools is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the Penn State reporting environment is a plus. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
