Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences utilizing established mathematical/statistical methodologies. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using internal reporting tools. Provides consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
This position supports the Sprint Prepaid Business Planning organization, producing subscriber summary results from large account level data stores. The incumbent will possess strong business analysis skills as well as exceptional information management skills. The ability to effectively summarize large account level detail into multi-dimensional analytic data stores is critical to the success of this position. Knowledge of SQL and demonstrated experience in its use is required. The successful candidate will also be well versed in EXCEL pivot tables and Microsoft ACCESS to implement the multi-dimensional summary outputs in a desktop environment. The position will also provide ad-hoc analyses to assist business partners in analyzing specific account sub-populations and to identify and correct data anomalies. Excellent communications skills are necessary to ensure that analytic requirements are correctly implemented and that the results are presented effectively to a non-technical audience.

- Five years experience with analytics toolsets (e.g., SAS, SQL, Micro Strategies, etc.)
