The Business Information Analyst Sr. contributes to the Business Intelligence Unit inside the Medicare Revenue and Reconciliation (MRR) Department. This is a high profile market consultant/analytics strategist position. This position is known as a Revenue Account Manager (RAM). This position uses data produced by Business Intelligence analytics team to strategize, monitor and track revenue-impacting activities in the 3 regions (West, East Central), Employer Group Retiree (EGR), and Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP). This role includes consulting with these teams to understand their markets’ needs, providing ideas and strategies to help meet their objectives, providing actionable data and reports, assisting with self-service tools, reporting back to the MRR Team the status of regional revenue activities, providing business rules to the reporting/DataMart team for reports that will answer the needs of their customers. This team provides feedback to the MRR operations team to ensure their customers’ needs are being addressed. They are the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to the MRR department (i.e. taking in requests/goals) and the conduit for streamlined communication back to the customers to obtain input/sign-off on change orders and tactics and reporting to their customers the status of all centralized programs. This position is a data-based consultant who is charged with the responsibility of identifying new revenue streams, working with their Business Intelligence analytics’ teammates to perform trend analyses and region-specific outliers. They are strategists assigned to regions to help find ways to increase revenue, to decrease revenue leakage and streamline communications. Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.
  • Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
  • Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
  • Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
  • May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
  • May make recommendations based upon data analysis.



  • BS/BA degree in related field, 3 analytics experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
  • 2 years of account management experience (project/program management experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects in a group process which requires soliciting and managing of stakeholders’ interests
  • Must have ability to present and recommend solutions to customers and management
  • Ability to work with customers to define analytic reports and tactics that help meet their goals
  • Strong ability to manage challenging customer situations
  • Strong ability to translate complex information for a wide range of customers
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within the MRR team, with other departments and customers
